Search the online catalog by cemetery name, including any Also Known As (AKA) names that have been located for that cemetery. For example Dabbs Cemetery AKA Dobbs, Evanspring, Freeman, Lookabaugh or Oldham Cems.

Cemeteries in the Palestine city limits include City, Old City, East Hill, Memorial, Middle, New Addition and New Addition Annex. The Catholic Church controls and enumerates St. Joseph’s, Beth Israel and the Syrian cemeteries.

The library staff will also do quick queries, including pulling obituaries from the local newspaper on microfilm. These start in 1903 and go through 2018. The date of death for the person is required. Click the Genealogy tab for contact information.
