Died:  30 March 1961 - Palestine, Anderson, Texas

Informant:  G.O. Broussard

Funeral services for J.A.W. Wren, 85 year old Palestine negro man who circulated the Herald - Press in the negro areas of the city for several years, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mt. Vernon AME Church with the Rev. A.S.B. Jones officiating.  Burial will be in Old Town Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Albert of New York, a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Broussard of Houston, a sister, Mrs. Bessie Steel of Palestine, a brother J.B.Wren of Houston and nieces and nephews.
