Margaret Stella M. Teal Wilson

Margaret Teal was one of three children born to Charity and James Teal.  She entered this life August 18, 1883, at Grapeland, Texas.  Her parents moved the family to Crockett, Texas where they joined the St. Paul Baptist Church.  Here Margaret accepted Christ and was baptized.
She attended the Mary Allen Seminary.  A Presbyterian School for girls.  In 1904 she attended the Houston County Summer Normal where she received a certificate for teaching.  She taught at Red Branch County School near Crockett and Maysfield School of Grapeland.  She later became the principal of Grapeland School.
On July 25, 1906, she married James Harvey Steuart.  To this union one child, Dowilder J. was born.  Margaret's teaching career was extensive  was extensive.  For four years she taught at Franklin, Texas and thereafter at Port Sullivan.  Mr. Steuart died in the mid forties.
She later met and married Mr. John Wilson at Palestine, Texas.  Mr. Wilson died July 8, 1951.  Mother Wilson moved to San Francisco on October 31, 1964.  She joined the Third Baptist Church under the late F.D. Haynes, Sr. on February 14, 1965.  She remained a staunch member until her death, February 4, 1979 at 10:45 p.m.
Mother Wilson was an active member of Class No. 5 Sunday School.  She was the Spiritual Life Leader of Ruth Circle.  She was mother of the W.M.U. and a member of the  Mother's Board.  She has been a regular tither for many years.
She leaves to mourn her loss: a daughter, Dowilder J. Gregory of San Francisco, nieces, nephews and a host of other relative and friends.
