Votie Howard Williams

Died:  23 August 1974 - VA Hospital - Temple, Bell, Texas

Votie Howard Williams was born March 3, 1920, in Palestine, Texas.  he grew up in the Saint Paul Methodist Church and continued his affiliation to the end of his life.
Mr. Williams' public school education was completed at Banks Elementary and Lincoln High School in Palestine.  His college work was done at Prairie View College and Jones Business and Vocational School.
On July 26, 1941, he was married to Miss Julie Sessions, who preceded him in death on January 3, 1971.
He served his country for more than three years, attaining the rank of Sergeant.  His tour of duty extended to France, Germany and England.
Votie's occupational career included twenty-five years with the Missouri Pacific Railroad and several years with Palestine Public Schools, Royall National Bank and the Veterans Administration.
He departed this life August 23, 1975, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Bertha Carter.
