Louise Mae Jefferson Williams

Born:  3 September 1908 - Jefferson, Texas
Died:  6 June 1991 - Memorial Hospital - Palestine, Anderson, Texas
Father:  Clifton Jefferson
Mother:  Laura Gooch
Spouse:  Robert Williams

Services for Louise Mae Williams, 87, of Palestine will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at South Union Baptist Church with the Revs. Albert W. Holmes and T.L. Dilworth officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams died Thursday at Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 3, 1903, in Jefferson to Clifton and Laura Gooch Jefferson.
Mrs. Williams attended school in Marshall.  She united at an early age with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Jefferson, and upon moving to Palestine joined West Union Baptist Church.  Upon her marriage she united with South Union Baptist Church, where she remained a member until her death.
Mrs. Williams was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Naomi Chapter No. 50, and the Heroines of Jericho, Price of Palestine, Court No. 459.  She sponsored benefit teas for many years for the Christmas Cheer Fund.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams.
She is survived by cousins William H. Dailey of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Dorothy Tillie of Marshall.
