Services for Charles Anthony Williams, 44, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. D.L. Callier officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home, Palestine.
A wake will be held from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams died Wednesday morning in Tyler.
He was born Nov. 22, 1953, in Palestine to Archie and Ersline King Williams.  A graduate of Palestine High School, he received nurse's aid training in Houston and was an active member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Archie Williams, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Austin of Palestine; mother, Ersline King Williams of Palestine; children, Charles A. Williams Jr. of Fort Worth, Shockese Williams of Woodville and Ursla Williams of Fort Worth; brother, Lewis Shampine of Palestine; sisters, Dorothy Harrell, Brenda Clewis and Audry Williams, all of Palestine; and four grandchildren.
