Mr. Thomas E. Wilborn, Sr. was born on October 19, 1917 to the union of Willie and John Wilborn in Lee County, Texas.  He was the sixth of eleven children born to this union.
He received Jesus Christ during his adult life and was an active member of South Union Baptist Church, Palestine, Texas.  He served as an Usher and Deacon during his service there.
He greaduated from Prairie View A&M University majoring in Agriculture.  Thomas taught Industrial Arts in several school districts for over 30 years.  He moved to Palestine in the mid 1970's where he worked as a teacher at Palestine High School.  After retirement he performed custodial duties for McDonald's Corporation and the Palestine Independent School District.
He leaves to celebrate his home-going:  three daughters (Kristi A. Wilborn, Charlotte C. Wilborn and Sandra W. Rutherford); two sons (Anthony D. Campbell and Mark H. Wilborn); eight grandchildren (Kandace B. Wilborn, Ryan H. Wilborn, Marcus H. Wilborn, Patrick A.D. Campbell, Roderick Wilborn, Tiffany Wilborn, Alexandra C. Rutherford and Tameka Walker); and two great grandchildren (Christoperh Walker and Emerald Walker).
A host of sisters and brothers (Mattie Taylor, Edna Gregory, Lillian Moore, Nannie B. Crittenton and Emmit Wilborn) numerous nephews and nieces as well as a host of friends.
