Died:  15 May 1984 - Park Place Nursing Home - Palestine, Anderson, Texas
Spouse:  Rufus Whiting, Sr.

Funeral services for Hallie Bertha Whiting, 84, of 1321 West Lacy Street, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at South Union Baptist Church, the Revs. T.L. Dilworth, Horace A. Winn III, and J.F. Ratcliff officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Whiting died Saturday at Park Place Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
A native of Livingston, she had resided in Palestine for 60 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Wilson of Palestine; a son, Rufus Whiting Jr. of Houston; a brother, James Shotwell of Livingston; eight grandchildren; 13 grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
