Died:  6 February 1998 - Trinity Valley Medical Center - Palestine, Anderson, Texas

Herman White was born October 4, 1907 in Palestine, Texas, the only child f Oliver and Mary Johnson White.
He attended the Anderson County Schools and at a very early age united with the New Chapel Baptist Church and remained faithful until death.  Herman was married to Goldie Furlough.  To them five children were born.  She preceded him in death in 1940; also two sons Herman White, Jr. and Vernon White, one step-son Johnnie White.  In later life he was united in matrimony to Miss Doris Bell.
Herman was a member of the Sheriff's Association of Texas and employed by Knox Glass Co. for thirty years.
His demise came on February 6, 1998 at Trinity Valley medical Center.
Those who will cherish his memory are:  his wife of forty years Mrs. Doris Bell White of Palestine; five daughters, Ruth Jones of Dallas, Margie Lee, Mary Faye Green, Pamela Metoyer, Stephanie White, all of Houston; three step-sons Adolphus Foreman, Jr. of Dallas, David Foreman and Don Foreman of Tyler; three sisters-in-law Elnora Tillis of Houston, Clarice Goree, and Annie Lacy of Dallas; five brothers-in-law, Herman Goree of Palestine, David Goree, William Lacy, Nathan Goree, Jr., of Dallas, Willie Fred Tillis, Jr. of Houston; three sons-in-law William Lee, Windell Green, and Michael Metoyer of Houston; two daughters-in-law Vanessa Foreman of Tyler and Celeste Foreman of Dallas; a special cousin Wade Ruth; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
