Services for George Austin White, 46, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Crockett Road Church of Christ with Norvie Cottingham officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mr. White died Wednesday after a brief illness.
He was born in Palestine on June 23, 1948, to George Birdow and Virginia White.  He was a member of New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church, and alter joined Salt Works Road Church of Christ.
Mr. White is survived by his wife, Thelma White; daughters, Sonia Carey, Tonia Smith, Celica Cook, TaChic White, Theresa White, Metra White, Niki Nicole white, Tarsha White and Chickita White, all of Palestine; sons, George White, George Jr. White, Albert White, Austin white of Gatesville, and Milan White; sisters, Lynet Dixon, Linda Anderson, Debra Davis, Bonnie L. Demus, Peggy Davis and Cathy Davis, all of Palestine, Jo Ann Jones of Rusk and Lois E. Davis of Austin; mother and stepfather, Virginia and Jordan Davis of Palestine; and 13 grandchildren.
