Connie Daniels Watson

Connie Watson was born to Fred and Roxie Caldwell Daniels in Anderson County.  Here she grew up, received her formal education and graduated from Lincoln High School.
As a child she confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at the Brown Spring Baptist Church.  Later she united with the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she was an active participant in many of the religious auxiliaries of the church.
She was married to Mr. Burnis Bowser and later moved from Palestine when his tour of duty in the U.S. Army carried him to various states.  He preceded her in death.
While living in Wilmington, Del., Mrs. Watson was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal church, a licensed beautician and a member of various community organizations.  In Wilmington she met and married Mr. Joseph Watson.  They moved to Los Angeles, California and united with the St. Johns Episcopal Church.  She completed her nurses training and worked until her retirement as a R.N. for the county of Los Angeles.
Mr. Watson preceded her in death.
On her return to Palestine she renewed her faith with the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she served as a volunteer worker.  She worked with Henry-Smith Services, Red Cross, Cancer Society and other civic organizations.
She is survived by:  her beloved nieces, nephews and cousins; Mrs. Geraldine Hudson, Palestine, Texas, Mrs. Marian Walley, Wilmington, Del., Mrs. Dolores Wright, Houston, Texas, Mrs. Hazel Jones, Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Nancy Miller, Palestine, Texas, Willie F. Tillis, Jr., Houston.  Edward L. Barrett, Fort Worth, Texas, Oliver and Herbert Daniels, Dallas, Leonard Daniels, Boston, Mass., and Fred Daniels Ill. Houston.
A host of great nephews, nieces, relatives and friends bereave her home-going.
