Johnnie Green Wagner

Mrs. Johnnie Green Wagner, daughter of the late Bennie and Julia Beason Green was born July 25, 1915 in Palestine Texas where she attended the public schools and then later was united with the late J.W. Wagner.
She was an active member of the Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church for many years, where she served as Chair member and in other activities of the Church.
Mrs. Wagner passed away on November 12, 2002 after an extended illness.
She was predeceased by six sisters, and three brothers.
Those who will cherish her memory are, a brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Lue Jimmie Green of El Paso, Texas; A host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services for Johnnie Green Wagner, 87, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Myron waddle officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wagner died Tuesday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 25, 1915 in Palestine to the Rev. Bennie and Julia Beason Green.  She attended Anderson County schools and was a domestic worker for years.
Mrs. Wagner was a longtime member of Grant Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church where she sang in the choir and served the church in other capacities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Wagner; six sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by a brother, Matthew Green of El Paso.
