James Willard Wagner

Died:  22 November 1972 - Palestine, Anderson, Texas

Mr. James Willard Wagner was born in Anderson County, to the union of Mr. George Wagner and Mrs. Mary Elizia Womack Wagner.
Mr. Wagner confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at Anderson Academy A.M.E. Church.
later moving to Palestine, he united with Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he served faithfully with the choir, Sunday School and Steward Board until retired from office.
He was married to Mrs. Freddie Stanley, December 22, 1959.  He was a devoted husband until death.
He departed this life November 22, 1971 at 7:05 p.m. at his home, 814 Fulton Street.
He leaves to mourn:  a wife, Mrs. Freddie S. Wagner; a son, Mr. Robert Lee Wagner, I; a grandson, Robert Lee Wagner, II both of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Mr. Willie Waagner, Mr. F.C. Wagner of Palestine and Mr. Ervin Wagner of Tucson, Arizona; six sisters, Mrs. Rhotea Wagner, San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Annie Mae Stacy, Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Ernest Marie Jones, Mrs. Julia Hill both of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Lucilla McKinney, Fort Worth, Texas and a host of n ieces, nephews and friends.
