Birth: On October 28, 1931 in Palestine, Texas
Parentage:
Sol and Annie Bell Mickens Carroll became the parents of a daughter
whom they named Loretta Arlillian.
Education: She graduated
from Lincoln High School and attended Jarvis Christian College,
Hawkins, Texas and received a degree in home economics.
Christian
Faith: She united with New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church
at the age of 12, where she remained faithful until her death.
At one time she was a member of the Palestine Female Chorus.
Marriage: In the spring of 1949 she united in Holy Matrimony
to Mr. Jesse James Smith, to this union 7 children were born.
November 1, 1974 she united in hold matrimony to Mr. Allen Tutt,
Jr., which she remained until her demise.
Employment: She
was employed at Memorial Hospital for 18 years.
Demise: On
Sunday, November 20, 1994 in Palestine, Texas, the Angel of Silence
came and relieved Loretta from her pain and suffering. She is
preceded in death by: her parents, Sol and Annie Bell Carroll;
brother, Frank Carroll; Uncle and Aunt, Sim and Lola Mickens; Uncle,
Elijah Mickens; and Aunt, Willie Mae Carroll.
