Mrs. Vera Owens Rodgers, the daughter of
the late Edward and Gussie Owens, was born in Palestine, Texas. She attended public school in Palestine. At an early age she united with the Antioch Baptist Church and served well. She united in marriage with Mr. Cicero Rodgers. To this union no children were born. She leaves a husband, Mr. Cicero Rodgers, two sisters, Mrs. Edna Mae Owens and Mrs. Grace J. Taylor of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Mr. Marcus Owens of Houston, Texas; Mr. Edward Owens, Jr. of San Francisco, California; one uncle, Mr. Andrew Lee Owens of Palestine; two aunts, Mrs. Clorine Jenkins and Mrs. Anna Taylor of Los Angeles, California; Nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mour her passing. |
