Frank James Robinson

Born:  7 June 1902 - Antioch Community, Smith, Texas
Died:  13 October 1976 - Palestine, Anderson, Texas

Spouse:  Dorothy Grace Redus - 24 July 1930

Frank James Robinson, the oldest of ten children of Charlie Williams and Olevia Stephens Robinson, was born on June 7, 1902, in the Antioch Community, near Tyler in Smith County, Texas.
The early religious training that he received in childhood permeated his entire life.  His early education was received in his come community, and his high school work was completed at Texas College, Tyler, Texas.  Both his baccalaureate and masters degrees were received from Prairie View College.
His profession career included positions as County Extension Agent, Vocational Agriculture teacher, and School Superintendent.  he was extensively involved in political, civic and fraternal activities too numerous to catalogue.  As a member of South Union Baptist Church, he served on the trustee board and as director of religious education.
On July 24, 1930 he was married to Miss Dorothy Grace Redus.  Survivors include his widow; a sister, Mrs. Lorene Leath, of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Boston L. Robinson of Los Angeles, California; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
