Funeral services for David Robinson, 87,
of Beaumont, formerly of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in St.
Paul United Methodist Church with the Rev. Horace a. Winn III
officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery under the
direction of the Davis Funeral Home. Mr. Robinson died Wednesday at the Autumn Hill Convalescence Center, Beaumont. He was born July 31, 1894, in Bryan, a son of the late Rev. Wesley R. Robinson and Mary Ann Williamson Robinson. He attended school at Bryan and Wiley College, Marshall. After moving to Palestine he became a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church in 1924. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for 28 years. He married Nancy Mayola Baline Robinson in 1916. She and a daughter predeceased him. Survivors include three sons, David Robinson, Jr. of Palestine, Harold E. Robinson and Homer B. Robinson, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; three daughters, Mrs. Zola Thomas of Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Gloria Earl of Houston and Mrs. Selenda Johnson of Beaumont; 31 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. |
