Essie Mae Bivens Oggs

Born:  16 March 1897 - Texas
Died:  11 January 1964 - Memorial Hospital, Palestine, Anderson, Texas
Father:  William Bivens
Mother:  Ella Martin
Daughter:  Ollie Mae McDonald

Mrs. Essie Mae Bivens Oggs was born March 16, 1897 to the union of Mr. and Mrs. William Bivens.
She was married to Mr. Orange Oggs, and to this union one daughter was born.
She united with the New Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age.  Later she united with the West Union Baptist Church where she served until she departed this life, January 11, 1964 at 4:20 a.m.
She leaves to mour her loss, a mother, Mrs. Ella Bivens; a daughter, Mrs. Ollie Mae McDonald; a granddaughter, Miss Floyd Ella McDonald; one sister, Mrs. Willie Mae King; one aunt, Mrs. Minnie McMorris, two uncles, Mr. George Martin of Neches and Mr. Will Martin of Kingsville; three nieces, two nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Burial will be in the Memorial Cemetery.
