Rosa Marie Clewis Myers

Born:  25 March 1912
Died:  10 October 1980
Father:  Ed Clewis
Mother:  Della Gaston
Spouse:  Willie Myers - 4 June 1939

On March 25, 1912, Rosa Marie Clewis Myers was born in Anderson County to the union of Ed and Della Gaston Clewis.  She departed this life at her home in the early morning on October 10, 1980.
Mrs. Myers united with the Asberry Chapel Baptist Church as an early age.  Later her membership was moved to the South Union Baptist Church, where she remained lovingly and untiringly until her death.
She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Willie Myers on June 4, 1939.  Happiness reigned in their home for forty-one years.  To this union two children were born, one of whom preceded her in death.
Mrs. Myers attended public school in the Flint Hill Community.  Later she shared her knowledge with others by teaching in the public schools of Anderson County for a period of twenty-nine years.  Trrough her selfless service to others, Mrs. Myers expressed her love for all mankind.
She leaves to mourn her passing:  her husband, Willie Myers; a daughter, Mrs. Freta E. Parkes; three grandsons, Craig, Keith and Charles Frank Parkes III; five sisters, Mrs. Bessie Anderson of Tucson, Arizona, Mrs. Juanita Reed of San Antonio, Texas, Mmes. Alvena McLeon and Eddye B. Ealy of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Thelma Crawford of Dallas, Texas; one brother Leroy Clewis of Tucson, Arisona; and a host of other relatives and friends.
