Leander Muse, Jr. was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leander Muse, Sr., on May 17, 1929 in Anderson County, Texas. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1949. At an early age he united with Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, Palestine, Texas and alter united with Wesley Chapel of Houston, Texas. On January 27, 1950, he was united in holy matrimony with Miss Dorothy Mae Shields.  Shortly after marriage, they moved to Houston, Texas where they lived until he departed this life on July 12, 1980.  Survivors include:  his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Muse; one son, Larry Muse; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leander Muse, Sr.; five sisters, Doris Brown, Fannie Davisw and Jenell Hollie of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lucretia Jones of Denton, Texas, Daisy Jean White of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Robert E. Muse of Houston, Clarence Muse of Dallas and Charles Muse of Palestine; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
