Died:  10 December 1967 - Memorial Hospital, Palestine, Anderson, Texas

Mr. Yetta Mims, the son of Mr. Willie and Mrs. Matt Mims, was born in Anderson County.
At an early age he united with the Friendship Baptist Church, Yard, Texas.  after the family moved to Palestine, Texas and he then united with the West Union Baptist Church where he served until his demise, December 10, 1967.
He was united in marriage to Miss. Mary Davis, and to this union three children were born.  The wife and two children preceded him in death.  He later married Mrs. Katie Butler. No children were born to this union.  On September 10, 1959, he was married to Mrs. N.L. Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. N.L. Mims; one daughter, Mrs. Etta M. Smith, Palestine, Texas; Stepchildren:  Mrs. Lurline Francis, Jacksonville, Texas, Mrs. Leila Thomas, Dallas, Texas, Vernon Mitchell, Ruth Robinson, Lillian Minnerweather, Nettie Mitchell, Ft. Worth, Texas, Helen O'Connor, Palo Alto, Calif., Katherine Rayson, New York City, Marjorie White, Lexington, Ky.; one brother, Jerry Mims, Palestine, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Donnell, Palestine, Texas and Mrs. Tabby Alexander, Tennessee Colony, Texas; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; many other relatives and friends.
