Again death has invaded the ranks of Smith Chapel Church of God In Christ, and carried away faithful member.

"Life is but a working day, A time to work, a time to pray; And then comes death, This comes to all.

Mother Daisy Lee, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Jackson, was born July 31, 1881.  To this union two children were born.  The brother, Mr. James Jackson preceded her in death.

She attended Hearne Academy and also Bishop College.

She professed a hop in Christ in her early life in the Baptist Church at Vistula, Texas.

In 1901, she was married to Rev. Jessie Lee, and to this union two children were born.  Later they moved to Palestine, Texas and she united with the Christian Church under the Rev. Wells.  There she served until the year of 1918 when she was saved under the leadership of Elder N. Keys.  He appointed her as Church Mother and she worked faithfully until her health failed her.  She often would hold prayer services in her home.  She also served as Nursing Aide in the State Meetings.  Very liberal with her presence, her money, and her service, her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
