Services for Roscoe 'C-Boy' King 91, of Palestine will be at 11
a.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will
follow in Memorial Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of
Emanuel Funeral Home. Mr. King died Monday in Tyler. He was
born on Aug. 29 1920 in Palestine to Levi and Willie Mae Mitchell
King. He received his education in Palestine public schools and
Lincoln High School. He was a member of the Mt. Calvary
Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, He was employed by
Emanuel Funeral Home for more than 15 years. Mr. King was
preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Haleen Henry. He
is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dorothy Mitchell King of
Palestine; daughter, Tonya Pollard of Fort Worth; brother, James
King of Houston; sisters, Ersline Williams and Ora Lee King, both of
Palestine; three grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and
great-great-nephews. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday.
