Elizabeth 'Heck' Nix King

Born:  1902  - Houston County, Texas
Died:  October 2 1972
Spouse:  Booker T. King
Parents:  Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nix

Mrs. Elizabeth King, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nix, was born in Houston County, Texas.
In her early years Mrs. King moved to Anderson County.
She was married to Booker T. King.
She joined the Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. A.W. Jackson:  and remained a member until her passing on Friday afternoon, October 6, 1972.
She was a member of the Trustee Board: and contributed generously in the capacity in which she served.  She contributed flowers and other things which she thought would fit the need.  She rendered service round and about when contacted - not only at church.
Mrs. King was Mother of one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Woody, who preceded her in death.  Survivors are:  one Grandson; Freddie Baker, three Great-Grandchildren, all of New Mex.; one sister, Mrs. Viola Young, one Nephew, Rev. Velton Nix Jr.; New Orleans, La. and other Relatives to mourn her passing.
