Eva Ola Jackson
Funeral services for Eva Ola Jackson, 77, of Palestine will be at 1
p.m. Monday at Grace Temple Church of God in Christ, 1403 Bassett Rd., with Supt. T.J. Crosby
and the Rev. Roy G. Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery
in Palestine under the direction of
McCoy Funeral Home,
Palestine. Mrs. Jackson passed away
Wednesday at Palestine Regional
Medical
Center. She was born July 14, 1930 in
Palestine
to Melvin and Johnnie Mae Smith Clewis. She married Lester (L.C.) Jackson in March 1949 and
they were parents of six children. Mrs. Jackson was a licensed
vocational nurse and worked at Memorial Hospital
and TDCJ’s Michael Unit until her retirement. She was preceded in
death by her parents; husband; and one son, Mitchell Jackson.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by a daughter, Marion Bush; sons, Melvin
Jackson, Steven Jackson, Keith Jackson, all of
Palestine, and Tony Jackson of
Fort Worth; three granddaughters; four
stepgrandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Visitation
will take place from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
