Mrs. Baker

Services for Lucille Baker, 71, will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at South Union Baptist Church with the Rev. T. L. Dilworth officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Baker died Saturday at Anderson County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1913 in Cherokee County, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary Alexander and was a member of South Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Baker; a daughter, Nancy Enge and a son, Bobby Andrew Dean.

Survivors include two daughters, Annie Hamilton and Barbara Jones of Palestine; a son, Marcellus Jasper of Palestine; four sisters, Dorothy Alexander of Denver, Colo., Helen Calloway of Odessa, Pearlene Yarbourgh of East St. Louis, Ill., and Mary Williams of LaMarque; five brothers, Marvin Alexander, Slone Alexander and Lionel Alexander, all of  Denver; Fred Alexander of Lemesa and L. C. Alexander of Chicago; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received at the Masonic Hall, corner of South Jackson and Giraud streets after the services.
