Marisia Arthur

Services for Marisia Delores Polk Arthur, 41, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Vernon AME Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Emanuel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Arthur died Wednesday at Palestine Healthcare Center.

She was born Aug. 9, 1956, in Palestine.

Mrs. Arthur was a member of Mt. Vernon AME Church and later united with New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Emmett Polk Sr.; son, Andre D. Polk; brother, Emmett L. Polk Jr.; and two sisters, Barbara E. Polk and Theresa L. Polk.

She is survived by her husband, L. W. Arthur of Palestine; daughters, Tasha Polk, Tyanne Polk and Tyesha Polk, all of Palestine; mother Thelma Ree Polk of Fort Worth; brother, Robert Polk of Fort Worth; sisters, Mary Polk and Jacqueline Polk, both of Houston, and Deborah Kimbrough, Carolyn Polk and Brenda Polk, all of Fort Worth; and five grandchildren.
