B. W. Camp

B. W. Camp received a Confederate Pension #42637 from the State of Texas. He filed for his pension October 22, 1926 and again on December 15, 1926 based on his service in Company D, Regiment 22nd Georgia Infantry, Gen. Wofford's Command. He also served in Company "C" Georgia State Militia. B. W. Camp was 80 years old, born at Mary Etta, Cobb County, Georgia. He had lived in Anderson County for 55 years and in Texas for years. At the time of filing his application he lived at P.O. RFD 9, Palestine, Texas.  His applicant was witnessed by W. D. Thornal, J. A. Scarborough, W. W. Camp, W. M. Hicks and F. R. Morris. The application was approved January 3, 1927. His wife, Louisa Camp, reported his death on September 8, 1928 at their home near Palestine, Texas. The Texas State Archives website lists his full name as Burrell Washington Camp. Louisa Camp also received a confederate pension.

Burwell W. Camp age 73 years old is found on the 1920 Anderson County Texas Federal Census with his wife Jane Camp, age 62, daughters, Lucie Camp, age 20 and Georgia Camp, age 18, and granddaughter, Mabel Camp, age 4. Mr. Camp was shown as being born in Georgia as where both of his parents.

The Ira Camp family is listed in the next household.

Burl W. Camp age 63 years old is found on the 1910 Anderson County Texas Federal Census with his wife Louisa J. Camp, age 51, and his daughters, Nettie Camp, age 16, Mary Camp, age 14, Lucy Camp, age 11, and Georgia Camp, age 9. This was the first marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Camp who had been married for 33 years. Mrs. Camp had 11 children with 10 living. Mr. Camp was born in Georgia as were both his parents

Burwell Camp age 53 years old born October 1846 is listed on the 1900 Anderson County Texas Federal Census with his wife Louisa Camp, age 42, born November 1857, sons, Jos Camp age 17 born February 1882, Albert Camp, age 15 born January 1884, Thos Camp age 13 born November 1886, and Ira Camp, age 10 born July 1889, and daughters, Nettie Camp age 8 born September 1891, Mary Camp age 6 born September 1893 and ?? Camp [Lucy Camp] age 1 born September 1898. Mr. and Mrs. Camp have been married 23 years. Mrs. Camp has had 10 children with 9 living. Mr. Camp was born in Georgia as were both of his parents.

Burle Camp age 29 years old born Georgia is listed on the 1880 Anderson County Texas Federal Census with his wife L. J. Camp age 21 born Texas, son. A. Martin Camp, age 1 year old born Texas and daughter Sarah I. Camp age 3 months born Texas. Also on the same page are H. L. Camp and cousin, L. D. Camp and then later Josiah Camp, and daugther, Fannie M. Camp, Jackson Camp and wife W. L. I. Camp.
