Beatrice Pipkin Bell was born in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas to J. J. Pipkin and Victoria Alexander Pipkin. She married Steve Hunter Bell 8 December 1918 in the Oklahoma Territory. Their two sons, Wilborn Bell and Kenneth C. Bell, and granddaughter, Vicki Diana Rushing, are buried in Bell Cemetery. Beatrice resided in Odessa, Texas for thirteen years prior to her death there. At the time of her death, she was survived by one son, Kenneth C. Bell of Dawson; one daughter, Pauline Ruth Bell Rushing of Odessa; three sisters, Clara Pipkin Brown and Eula Pipkin Mires, both of Lawton, Oklahoma and Bula Pipkin Medcalf of Florida; two brothers, Stanley Pipkin of New Caney and Dearal Pipkin of Sunnyside, California; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Her obituary appeared in the Palestine Herald-Press, Wednesday, 3 March 1993. |
