Jimmy Alexander was born in Marlin in Falls County, TX to John and Georgia McIntosh Alexander.  He was a retired brakeman for Missouri Pacific Railroad. He died in Elkhart, TX. He is survived by his wife, Carol; one son, Ricky Alexander of Palestine; one daughter, Brenda Alexander Thomas of Poyner; one sister, Dorothy Jean Simmons of New Jersey; one brother, Alford Lanier of Waco; and four grandchildren. His obituary appeared in the Palestine Herald-Press, Monday, 12 Apr 1999.
