From the book Frankston and it’s Neighbors By Frankston Bicentennial Committees, 1976 Pages 18-19 is the article THE GEORGE HUBBARD ADAMS FAMILY, Facts given by Mrs. George Adams and Joyce Lookabaugh. "The Adams family goes back to George Adams and Sarah Porter Adams who came from Scotland in early colonial days and settled in South Carolina and then in Talbot County and Stewart County in Georgia.

The first Adams to settle in the Frankston-Kickapoo area was Robert Franklin Adams, second son of Samuel and Hollan Vause Adams. He was born October 1836 and died Feb. 22, 1922. Robert Franklin Adams served with the Stewart Grays in the Civil War. In 1865 he married Serrarinious Angeline Isabell Hodges (1842-1921). She was the daughter of Jordan Hodges and Mary Miller of Georgia.

With three children they made their way to East Texas, arriving in a snow storm in 1877 and settled in Kickapoo. There were born to this union the following children: Josephine Haskell (1886), Lilley Vause (1896), Ceres Semarrmous (1872), Franklin Lee (1873 - he died 21 days after they arrived in East Texas), Aleganny Isabel (1875 - died of polio in 1878), Mary Magdaline and Muse (twins, born in 1878. Mary died in 1878 and Muse in 1880), Ann Everett (1881-1885) and George Hubbard (1883-1973). Of their nine children, only four reached adult age and lived around Kickapoo and Frankston their entire lives. This whole family, Robert Franklin and Serrarinious and their children are buried in the Wofford Cemetery."

Additional material on the family is included is this article and an article on Page 151 that refers to the Hugo Menge family who was married to Lillie Vause Adams, a daughter of Robert Franklin Adams.
