52nd Anniversary Article of
Rufus Oscar & James Anna Collier

TYLER, Texas, Jan. 16.- Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Collier of Tyler will celebrate their fifty-second wedding anniversary Friday. They were married at the family home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Engledow, who lived four miles south of Troup on a parcel of the Engledow headright acquired under the Mexican colonization laws. Mr. Collier was born Oct. 9, 1859, at Canton, Van Zandt County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John O. Collier. Mrs. Collier was Miss James Anna Engledow. She was born on May 5, 1864, at what was then Old Canton, Smith County, now Omen. The couple have nine children and eight grandchildren. Two daughters, Mrs. Max T. Morris and Miss Elizabeth Collier reside in Dallas.
