S/Sgt. Joe, G. Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Chapman, husband of former Jeanette Brown. Entered Army Engineers in May, 1943, trained at Camp Claiborne, La. and in Ohio. Served in England, France and Okinawa.

CHAPMAN; ROBERT P
ANN 3/c Robert P. Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas,C. Thorpe, attended Tyler School. Entered the Navy in May, 1943, trained in Corpus Christi, Texas and Normpn, Okla. Served in Pearl Harbor and aboard USS Hancock in the Pacific.

EM 3/c Clyde C. Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy C. Chapman, attended Troup Schools, entered, Navy in Jan., 1943, trained at Great Lakes, Ill. and Miami, Fla. Served in S. America, Pearl Harbor, Honolulu, Hawaii, on Leyte and Okinawa.

S/Sgt. Roy. L. Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rnv Chai)man, attended Troup H.S. Entered the Air Corps in Sept., 1942, trained at Randolph Field, Brooks Field, Chanute Field, in.San Antonio, and Del Rio.

CHAPMAN, CLARENCE A.
CM 2/c Clarence A, Chapman, son of W. L. Chapman, Tvler. Entered the Seabees in June, 1942, trained in Norfolk, Va., Port Heunerne, Cal., Bremerton, Wash. Served on Attu, Alaska, New Caledonia, New Guinea and the Philippines. Awarded Asiatic-Pacific with one Star, American Theater Ribbon, Philippine, Lib. with one Star and Good Conduct Ribbon.

CHAPMAN, JONNIE G.
Pfe. Johnie G. Chavinan, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Chapman, Winona, Texas. Entered Army in 1942, trained at Carlsbad, N. M., Santa Ana, Cal. Served in Germany.

Pfc. Reece Chapman, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Chapman, Winona, Texas. Entered Army in 1942, trained at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., Fairbanks. Alaska and Canada. Received discharge in 1944.

CHAPPELL, JOEL W., JR.
S 1/c Joel W. Chappell, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel W. Chappell, Troup, graduated at Fairfield H.S. Entered Navy in Sept., 1943, trained in Corpus Christi, Kingsville and Camp Bradford, Va. Served in Philip pines, Okinawa, Guam and Pearl, Harbor. Awarded one Battle, Star.

Lt. James P. Chapel, son of Mrs. W, H. Billingsley, TyIer, husband of former Jane Alen, Tyler. Entered, the Army in July, 1943, trained in Houston, Texas.

Pfc. Alras Othan Cheek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Love Cheek, husband of former Maxine Bough, Entered Army in Aug., 1942, trained at Camp Howse, Texas; served in France, Germany and Czechoslovakia. Received two Battle Stars, Pres, Citation and Good Conduct Medal.

James A. Cheek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cheek, Bullard. Entered Army in Augr., 1944, trained at Ft. Lewis, Wash. and Omaha, Neb. erved at Khorramshahr, Iran with, Persian Gulf Command.

CHELF, CHARLES C.
Cpl. Charles C. Chelf, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Chelf, husband of former Marney Ruth Knight. Entered Army in Jan., 1943, trained at Camp Phillips' Ka . and Camp Forrest, Tenn. Served in New Guinea, East Indies and Philippines.

CHESLEY, EDGAR L.
2nd Lt. Edgar L. Chesley, son of J. L. Chesley, husband of former Dorothy Steeteville, attended Tyler Schools and Tyler Jr. College; also Texas Univ. Entered Army in Sept., 1944, trained at Camp Roberts, Cal., Ft. Benning, Ga. and Camp Maxey, Texas.

CHESLEY, BILLY J.
RM 3/c Billy J. Chesley, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Chesley. Entered the Coast Guard in Sept., 1943, trained at Alameda, Cal. and Radio School at Wilmington, Cal. Served aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Caboone.

A/S Flint D..Childress, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse V. Childress, attended Jacksonville Schools. Entered the Navy in June, 1946, trained at San Diego, Cal. Served in the European Theater.

CHISM, BILL C.
Sgt. Bill C. Chism, son, of Mr. and Mrs. Burkhalter, attended Troup Schools. Entered Army in Feb., 1946, trained at Camp Howze, Texas. Served in Germany, on Luzon. Awarded Expert Rifleman Medal, Combat Inf. Badge and other honors.

CHOATE, MILO J.
CCM Milo J. Choate, son of Mrs. Mollie Choate, husband of former Maureen Moore, attended Tyler H.S. Entered Navy in 1944, trained at Farragut, Idaho; served in San Diego, Cal.

CHOATE, ROBERT E.
Col. Robert E. Choate, son of Mrs. Mollie Choate, husband of former Tina Minto, attended Tyler Schools. Entered the service in 1919; served with the Army in Washington, D. C., Commanding Officer, Bsinbridge AAF, Bainbridge, Ga.; also.in Maxwell Field, Montgomery, Ala.
