CASEY, DONNIE W. Pvt. Donnie W. Casey, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Casey, husband of former Aileen Rucker. Entered Army In March, 1945, trained at Camp Hood, Texas and Ft. Ord, Cal. CASEY, BILLIE R. Cpl. Billie R. Casey, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Casey, attended Tyler H.S. Entered Army Air Corps in Feb., 1943, trained at Jefferson Bks., Mo., in Richmond, Va. and Bangor, Maine. Served in Burma, India. Awarded two Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal and Asiatic Ribbon.
CASEY, LELAND E. Cpl. Leland E. Casey, son of Mrs. Mary E. Hays, husband of former Neva Ballew, attended Gladewater H.S., Tyler Jr. College and Hardin-Simmons Univ. Entered Army in March, 1941, trained in San Antonio, Chanute Field, Ill., Ft. Lewis, Wash., Oregon and California. Served in Philippines, on Leyte and Okinawa. CASEY, JULIAN B. Pvt. Julian B. Casey, son of Thomas J. Casey. Entered the service in 1944, trained at Camp Hood, Texas. Served in the Philippines.
CASTLE, CHARLES W. Lt. Charles W. Castle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Castle, Troup, husband of former Agnes Tait, Houston graduated from Troup H.S. and Univ. of Texas. Entered Navy in March, 1944, trained in Charleston S. Carolina. Served in the Mediterranean Area and Africa. Awarded Campaign Ribbon with one Battle Star. CATES, JAMES A. GM 1/c James A. Cates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cates, attended Van Schools. Entered the service in Dec., 1939, trained in San Diego. Served in Pearl Harbor, Africa, Italy, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, on Aleutians, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Awarded five Battle Stars and Pre-Pearl Harbor Ribbon.
CATES, WILLIAM R. 2nd Lt. William R. Cates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Cates, graduated from Lindale H.S. Entered Army Air Corps in June, 1943, trained at Sheppard Field, Texas; Santa Ana, Stockton, Cal. and Gulfport, Miss. CATES, ROY L. Roy L. Cates, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cates. Entered Navy in Nov., 1943, trained in San Diego. Served in Hawaii, Australia. Japan, on Marshalls, Gilberts, Guam and New Caledonia.
CATES, ELMER R. Elmer R. Cates, son of Elmer L. Cates, entered Navy in 1942. Trained in San Diego. Served in Australia, Leyte, Borneo, on Marshalls, Gilberts, Guadalcanal and New Caledonia. Awarded Pres. Citation and Good Conduct Medal. CATES, TRAVIS N. 1st Sgt. Travis N. Cates, son of Mr. and Mrs. John 0. Cates, husband of former Lucille Haire. Entered Army in March, 1942, trained at Camp Barkeley, Camp Adair, Ore. and Camp Carson, Colo. Served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Has Good Conduct Medal, American Def. Service Ribbon, Cert. of Merit, ETO Ribbon, three Major Campaign Stars on ETO Ribbon.

Served in British New Guinea, Dutch New Guinea and Philippines. CATES, WINFRED H. Ist Lt. Winfred H. Cates, son of Mrs. John 0. Cates, attended Lindale Schools. Entered Air Corps in Feb., 1942, trained at Kelly Field. Served in China India, Burma. Awarded Purple Heart, Air Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, two OLCs.
		CAUSEY, JESSIE L. Cpl. Jessie L. Causey, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Causey, husband of Edith Stewart, attended Tyler Public Schools. Entered Air Corps in May, 1942, trained in San Angelo, Texas and Laughlin Field, Del Rio, Texas. CAUSEY, DERRELL S. Pvt. Derrell, S. Causey, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Causey, husband of former Elsie Wheeler, attended Tyler Schools. Entered service in May 1945, trained at Sheppard Field, Texas and Grand Island, Neb.
		CAVE, JAMES C. Cpl. James C. Cave, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Cave. Entered service in Feb., 1941, trained at Camp Bowie, Texas, Camp Blanding, Fla. and Camp Edwards, Mass. Served in N. Africa, Italy, France, Germany and Australia. Awarded Purple Heart, ETO Ribbon with five Battle Stars. CHAMBLEE, ISOM ELTON Pfc. Isom Elton Chamblee, son of Mrs. Mary E. Chamblee. Entered Air Corps in Feb., 1942, trained at Winter Haven, Cal. and Drew Field, Fla. Served in South America and Panama.
		CHAMBERS, JAMES M. James M. Chambers, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Snodgrass, attended Tyler H.S. Entered Army in July, 1945, trained at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas and Brooks General Hospital. CHAMNESS, NEELY E. MAM 3/c Neely E. Chamness, son of Mrs. Eli Chamness, husband of former Wilmoth Pollard. Entered Navy Air Corps in March, 1944, trained in San Diego, Cal. and Sampson, N.Y. Served in the Solomons and Philippines. Awarded American Theater of War Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon.
		CHAMPION, LEWIS E. Lt. (jg) Lewis E. Champion, son ot Mrs. C. P. Champion, husband of former Marie Beek, attended West Texas State Teachers College. Entered the Navy in June, 1942, trained in Norfolk, Va. Served in Pearl Harbor. CHANCE, JOHN P. Pfc. John P. Chance, son of Mr. and Mrs. John N. Chance, husband of former Lillian Phillips. Entered the Army in 1942, trained at Camp McCoy, Wis. Served in Ireland, Wales, France, Belgium and Germany. Awarded Dist. Unit Citation, Combat Inf. Badge and Good Conduct Medal.
