M/Sgt. Carroll S. Abbott, son of Mrs. Pearl Abbott, husband of former Ruby Morgan. Entered army in 1939, trained at Ft. Warren, Wyo., Ft. Ord, Cal., Indiantown Gap, Pa. Served in England, Africa, Italy, France, Germany and Austria. Awarded four Battle Stars and Bronze Star.

ABLES, GEORGE M.
Pfc. George M. Ables, son of Mrs. and Mrs. J. E. Ables, attended Whitehouse School. entered army in 1944, trained at Ft. Riley, Kansas and Ft. Ord, Cal. Served in Manila, Luzon.

ABLES, BILLY M.
Pfc. Billy M. Ables, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ables, attended Whitehouse School. Entered Army Air Corps in April, 1943, trained at Camp Lee VA, Atlantic City, N.J. and Kearnes, Utah. Served in Italy, Africa and Germany. Awarded Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Dist. Unit Badge, Victory Ribbon and four Overseas Bars.

Cpl. Joe E. Abna, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rober Abna, Tyler, Texas. Entered the Air Corps in March, 1945, trained at Sheppard Field and Amarillo AAF, Texas

Cpl. Joe E. Abna, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Abna, Tyler, husband of former Willie F. Griffin. Entered Army Air Force in March, 1944, trained at Sheppard Field and Amarillo AAF, Texas.

ACKER, HUBERT P.
Sgt. Hubert P. Acker, son of C. P. Acker. Entered Army Air Corps in 1942, trained at Buckley Field, Colo. and Jefferson Bks., Mo. Served in Aleutians. Awarded two Battle Stars and Good Conduct Medal.

ADAMS, ALLEN D.
S 2/c Allen D. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Adams, attended Flint and Tyler Schools. Entered Navy in March, 1945, trained in San Diego, Cal. Served on Guam.

ADAMS, CARL D.
Chief Petty Officer Carl D. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Adams, husband of Noveline Hitt; attended Lindale Schools. Entered the Merchant Marines in April 1945, trained in Catalina Island, Cal. Served in the South Pacific. Discharged in Sept., 1945.

ADAMS, CHARLES D.
Pvt. Charles D. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Adams, husband of former Martha N. Marphis, attended Flint School. Entered Army in Nov., 1940, trained at Ft. Bliss, Texas and Ft. Clark, Texas. Discharged in Sept., 1943.

ADAMS, ELMER L.
Cpl. Elmer L. Adams, son of Mrs. Ruby Owens, attended Whitehouse H.S. Entered Army Air Corps in 1942, trained at Blackland Air Field, Texas. Served in England, France, Germany. Awarded Good conduct Medal, ETO Ribbon and other honors.

Sgt. Ernest W. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Adams, Beaumont, graduate of Tyler H. S. Entered the Army Air Forces in March, 1941, trained at Brooks Field, Texas and Alexandria Air Field, La. Served in the Philippine Islandes Guam and Okinawa.

ADAMS, GRADY JACK
Pfc. Grady Jack Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Adams. Entered service in July, 1943, in the Marines, trained in San Francisco, Cal., and Memphis, Tenn. Served in the Marshall Islands, Okinawa and Japan.

ADAMS, HELEN FAY
T/5 Helen Fay Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Adams. Entered service Sept., 1944, trained at Camp Atterbury, Ind., and in Georgia.

ADAMS, JOHN W.
Pfc. John W. Adams, son of Mr.and Mrs. E. L. Adams, husband of the former Julia Price. Entered service in July, 1944, trained at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., and Camp Maxey, Texas. Served with the Army in Germany and France. Has the ETO Ribbon with three Battle Stars.

ADAMS, LILLIAN RUTH
Sgt. Lillian Ruth Adams, daughter of Mrs. Lena Adams, Tyler. Entered the WAC Dec., 1942, trained at Des Moines, Iowa, Camp Polk, La., and Ft. Devens, Mass. Served in England, France, Germany. Awarded WAAC Medal, Good Conduct, EAME Campaign, Medals, and Merit Service Decoration. Discharged in October, 1945.

ADAMS, LLOYD W.
Lt. Lloyd W. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Adams, husband of the former, Frances Blow. Entered the Air Corps, 1943, trained at Maxwell Field, Ala., and Clarsbad, N. M.

ADAMS, MILTON
Lt. Milton Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Adams, husband of the former Margie Gimble. Entered the Air Forces October, 1942, trained at Waco, Texas, Santa Ana, Cal., Marfa, Texas, Albuquerque, N. M. Served in seven Major Battles in Italy. Received Pres. Citation, four Bronze Stars and Air Medal.

ADAMS, ROY A.
Sgt. Roy A. Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Adams, wife, the former Bessie M. Capehart, graduate of Waco H. S. Entered the Army, 1941, trained at Camp Bowie. Served in Africa, Italy, France, Germany and Austria. Discharged. Awarded Good Conduct, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, ETO Ribbon with five Battle Stars. Was wounded in Italy, 1943.

ADAMS, WALTER
S/Sgt. Walter Adams, son of Mrs. Lena Adams, husband of the former Lottie Adams, Tyler-Entered the Army, March, 1943, trained at Ft. Francis E. Warren, Wyo. Served in England, France. Awarded EAME Campaign Ribbon.

ADAMS, WILBUR G.
Pfc. Wilbur G. Adami, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Adams. Entered the Army April, 1941, trained at Ft. Sam, Houston, Camp Wolters and Camp Swift Texas. Served in Aleutians, France, Gelgium, Germany. Discharged, 1945, Awarded the Good Conduct, AD, AT, AP with one Bronze Star. ET with two Stars.
