Parker Family of Arp, Texas

Wylie Ada Vincent Parker was born August 06, 1866 in Minden, Texas. He was the son of Jeptha Parker and Sarah Jane Jackson who came to Texas from Georgia. W.A.V. married Frances (Fannie) Elizabeth Hudson on November 26, 1885. Fannie was born on September 17, 1869 in Meriwether Co., Georgia and was the daughter of Littleberry D. Hudson and Lousia Marian Briley. Wylie and Fannie had seven children. They moved to Arp from Rusk County in the early 1900's. Wylie died August 8, 1933 in Arp and is buried in Mason Cemetery. Fannie died December 21, 1959 in Henderson and is buried in Mason Cemetery, Arp, Smith Co, Texas.

Children of W. A. V. Parker and Frances (Fannie) Hudson are:

  1. Stella Viada Parker, born September 10, 1886 in Minden, Texas; died 1974; buried in Mason Cemetery, Smith County, Texas. She married George Smith December 3, 1916, Smith County, Texas
  2. Clarence Hayes Parker, born September 13, 1888; died May 3, 1965; buried Mason Cemetery.
  3. Ross Vincent Parker, born August 11, 1890 in Minden, Texas; died April 5, 1954; buried Memorial Park Cemetery, Smith Co, Texas. He married Jewell Eaton November 15, 1912, Smith County, Texas.

  4. Robert Dempse Parker, born August 27, 1892 in Minden, Texas; died April 2, 1977; buried Mason Cemetery, Smith County, Texas. He married Jewel Florence, November 7, 1915, Smith County, Texas.

  5. Frank Bryan Parker, born November 25, 1899 in Minden, Texas; died July 21, 1928; buried Mason Cemetery, Smith County, Texas. He married Ollie May Mills, January 13, 1920, Smith Co, Texas.
  6. Jesse Harris Parker, born February 4, 1902 in Minden, Texas; died July 2, 1957 in Arp, Texas. He married Bessie Louise Cook. They are buried in Ebenezer Cemetery, Arp, Smith Co., Texas.
